Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy
Please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments
Our goal is to provide high quality, patient-centred dental care to all our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our dentists and staff, but our other patients as well.
Booking Fee
When you are booking an appointment for your treatment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other patients. In circumstances where the appointment is for 60 minutes or greater, we ask you pay a deposit of $100 towards your treatment. This deposit is a credit towards your account and will be applied at the time of your treatment. In the event you cancel with short notice or fail to arrive this deposit will need to be forfeited. Deposits can be paid by credit card, EFT, or Zip-Pay.
Appointment Cancellation
We know your time is valuable, and ours is too. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients, and our staff, please call our practice as soon as you now you will be unable to make your appointment.
If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments at our practice are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.
How to Cancel Your Appointment
If you do need to cancel your appointment, please call us on (02) 6249 8551, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. If necessary, you may leave a detailed voicemail message. We will return your call as soon as possible.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, we will charge the patient a $100 missed appointment fee.
In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future treatments. This will be at the discretion of your dentist.
