Embrace the digital age of dentistry here at IDC!
Advances in dental techniques are taking leaps and bounds, and we are so pleased to bring many new options into our practice for you.
Here’s some of the great options now in place in our clinic.
CEREC Technology: gone are the days of gooey impression trays and weeks-long waits for a crown to rebuild and preserve a severely damaged tooth. With our new technology, we can take a digital scan to determine an exact design, then we mill and furnace your crown and cement it into place on the same day.
The ceramic material that we use is also a world apart from the composites and plastics of the past. A ceramic restoration is made from ‘biomimetic’ material that closely mimics the properties of your natural tooth enamel. This material lasts a lot longer too, meaning far fewer replacements of the crown and a longer life for your tooth.
CBCT and OPG machines: these advanced scanning machines enable us to take 3D imaging of your teeth, facial bones, nerves and sinus, all in-house. These scans help us to make accurate assessments of your needs – such as wisdom tooth removal or designing implants.
Dr Jade Yuan: We are thrilled to have Dr Jade on staff on Saturdays and Sundays. She is busy during the week working on her PhD in laser dentistry. Jade and a team of physicists, mathematicians and dentists are working at the forefront of technology, developing complex new lasers that will have a transformative impact on dentistry in the future.
